U-boat Attack In World War II, U-boats were a force to be feared. One such U-boat was Germany's U-123. The graduate project depicted just a small portion of U-123's journey along the coast of the United States, where it sunk many ships. On this project I worked as a modeler and particle effects animator. I modeled the oil tankers and also did some of the "pyrotechnic" special effects including fire, debris and explosions.
