Burger King, Montego Bay, Jamaica
This site qualifies as one of the more beautiful locations
for any restaurant. The challenge was to strategically locate
the building so as to both maintain its prominence on the
site and allow for expansion in the future. Both considerations
were met by placing the building in the southwest corner of
the lot. The result: a restaurant with visual prominence on
a visually competitive strip.
The objective was to use a standard restaurant design with
modified features so as to complement the historical architectural
style of this area.
The modern structure of concrete block construction and steel
trusses for the roof, lattice screens and masonry relief.
The addition of verandas on the ground and first floors encourages
proximity to the natural environment, itself an element of
enjoyment for the patrons. |
